ವಿರಹಿ ಹೃದಯಗಳ ನಲ್ಲ

ಸಾಸಿರ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದರೂ
ಚಂದಿರನೊಂಟಿ.
ಸೂರ್ಯರಶ್ಮಿಯೊಡನೆ ಕಣ್ಣಾಮುಚ್ಹಾಲೆಯಾಡುತ,
ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ಚಪ್ಪರದಲಿ ಹೊಳೆಯುತ.

ಬಹುದೂರದಿ ಹೊಳೆವ ತಾರೆಗಳಿದ್ದರೂ,
ಚಂದಿರನೇಕಾಂಗಿ .ಮೌನಿ ಅದರೂ
ಆಗಸದಿ ಹೊಳೆಯುತ ನಿಂತಿರುವ,
ಮುಗಿಲ ಚುಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಿನುಗಿ.

ಇಳೆಯ ನಲ್ಲನಲ್ಲೆಯರ
ಹೃದಯ ಭಾರಕೆ ಹೆಗಲು ಕೊಡುತ,
ಮಂದಸ್ಮಿತನಾಗಿ ವಿರಹದ
ನೋವನು ಕೇಳುತಲಿರುವ.

ಹೊಳೆ ಹೊಳೆವ ಸೂರ್ಯಕಾಂತಿಯೇ ಇರಲಿ,
ಅಕಾರ ವಿಕಾರದ ಅನಂತ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳ ಸಂತೆಯೇ ಇರಲಿ,
ಅಗೆದಾಗ ಸಿಗುವ ಬೆಳಕಿನುಂಡೆಯಾಗಿ,
ವಿರಹಿ ಹೃದಯಗಳ ನಲ್ಲನಾಗಿ ಹೊಳೆವ ಚಂದಿರನೊಬ್ಬನೇ!

KING OF ALL THE LONELY HEARTS!

Millions of twinkling stars around,
Still the moon stands there alone.
Sometimes hiding himself in sunlight,
Sometimes trying to smile with stars.

The stars are distant away,
And he has no one to speak.
Yet he does'nt lose his glory,
He stands there with a difference in the sky.

For all the lonely hearts on earth,
He is there to share the burden .
With a serene smile on face,
He listens to thier story.

However powerful may be the sun,
In whatever number may be the stars.
Yet no one can ever match him,
The king of all the lonely hearts!
